Atmosphere was okay. Accepted walk-in’s and seemed the majority were. Showed 5 minutes early for my appointment at 12 and was sat closer to 12:15. Asked for a 4 on top and a 2 mid taper on the sides. A lot of strays and fly aways on top still, had to shave down when I got home. Line up wasn’t crisp, middle section was missed, pushed the left side back and made the frame uneven. **Update - owner reached out personally apologizing for the situation and handled with grace and professionalism.

I used to visit that other place across town that bills itself as THE place for a gentleman’s haircut in Harrisonburg. I took a gamble on AJ’s after hearing rave reviews from so many people. Now I know why from personal experience. It is a wonderful local business that has earned this small-business owner’s loyalty. I can’t say enough about “my” barber, Dana. He’s personable and professional and flat out does a great job. Overall, this place is the best of the best.

Walk-in, staff was courteous and friendly. Great service and very happy with the results from Dwayne's work. Aj and Louis were also very nice and got to see their clients walk out looking like a minion bucks!

The staff is always kind and understanding, as we were almost 20 mins late..., they still kept our appointment and are great with kids and doing children's haircuts. My son is 15 months and the barbers there do an amazing job of calming them down and doing excellent work. The first pic was when my son had his first cut ever along with me the following are from 2-13-26.

Everyone is always so friendly and does great with my 10 year old son. He has straight hair and they were wonderful with helping us choose a cut that worked with his type of hair and didn’t require much styling or maintenance (because you know, boys!) highly recommended!
